Age and preparation
Recommended: Foundation–Year 6. Allow around 30 minutes. A4 paper, pencils and scissors; optional glue or counters. Every resource includes A4 sheets; print at actual size. Enlargements and fold sheets are labelled.
Use the activity
Twelve sourced game cards use clearly labelled school adaptations. Ask players what works for them, demonstrate rules and offer seated or non-contact options. Per-game references are in the factual source booklet.
Choice and access
Participation and personal sharing are optional. Learners may invent answers, point, draw, use a scribe or pass. Never infer a person’s background from appearance. No food tasting or photographs are required. Use larger paper, a quiet table, clear picture instructions or partner support where useful. Colour alone never decides a puzzle answer. Cultural examples describe particular foods, instruments, games or sources; they do not describe every member of a group.
Factual sources
Reviewed 2 October 2026. Original wording and independent artwork; official government branding is not reproduced. Per-item references and scope notes are available in the factual source booklet. Recheck seasonal dates before March; the student artwork is evergreen.
