After an accidental disruption, ask what repair would help
Identify the effect and a practical next action.
A fallen paper model gives the group a concrete fictional problem. Acknowledging the impact matters, but a useful next action depends on what the affected maker wants and what can reasonably be repaired.
Rebuilding a fallen wall may help more than repeating an apology alone.
Repair should respond to the actual effect
Ask what would be helpful before deciding the repair. The affected person's preference may differ from the first solution proposed.
Acknowledge what happened. Ask what would help. Offer suitable repair.
Do not require physical contact. Does the repair address the impact?
Use an educator model.
