What children need to do
Find and tick all twelve objects, then look outdoors for safe examples without collecting living plants.
What you'll need
- the printed activity
- a pencil
- colouring pencils if children want to decorate the finished page
How to use it
Offer the activity as an individual choice or let two children compare ideas. The second page provides prompts that extend observation, drawing or discussion without prescribing one correct creative response.
Skills practised
nature vocabulary, observation and respectful outdoor exploration.
Make it easier
Choose six objects and work with an adult or partner.
Make it harder
Group the objects by texture, plant part or where they may be found.
Printing notes
Print at actual size on A4 paper. The activity and extension pages use high-contrast lines and remain readable in black-only mode.
