A paper tower's base deserves as much attention as its height
Compare base layouts using the same lightweight tower components.
Height is an obvious feature to admire, but the support footprint may explain whether the lightweight model stands. Compare manageable tabletop designs and describe where tipping begins instead of rewarding the tallest attempt alone.
Compare models at a manageable size and under gentle conditions. Record the point where tipping begins instead of simply naming a winner.
Look at the support arrangement
A wider support footprint may help this model remain upright.
Build comparable towers. Change the base arrangement. Observe stability.
Avoid tall or heavy structures. What changed at the base?
Work at tabletop scale.
