An arrival activity should make sense without the opening talk
Create a clear independent entry without requiring the opening explanation.
A child arriving twenty minutes into the session needs a visible first action, not a replay of every instruction. Build an independent entry point and a clear help route into the station itself.
Show the materials and first action at the station. A late arrival should not need to reconstruct a long introduction before making a choice.
Make starting possible at different times
Identify the first action. Display a sample setup. Provide a way to ask for help.
A paper design station can begin with choosing a brief card.
