A teddy-bear story can begin with a provided paper character

Use paper characters so participation does not depend on possessions.

No personal toy is needed for an imaginary bear's adventure. Supply an outline or picture choice onsite, then let children invent a problem and response, keeping participation independent of possessions brought from home.

To hand: Original paper bear outlines.

Invent a character. Choose a problem. Draw a solution.

Give everyone the materials needed to start

A paper bear searching for a missing map supports storytelling.

Provide all necessary paper characters onsite. Participation should be possible without a particular possession or a willingness to bring something from home.

Can everyone participate with provided materials? Use picture story choices.

Bringing a personal toy remains optional if offered.
