Check the year before adding an event date to the program
Verify the date through the organising body's current information.
A date copied from last year's calendar may no longer apply, especially for an occasion tied to a weekday. Consult the organiser's current information and keep the source with the planning note.
Identify the organiser. Check the year. Record the source.
Record where the date was verified
An event observed on a changing weekday needs a year-specific check.
Record the source and year in the planning note. A previously correct calendar entry may need checking again before reuse.
Third-party calendars may be outdated.
Which year's date is shown? Use an educator planning note.
