One testable question can anchor a science celebration

Choose a small investigation with a clear variable and safe method.

A small paper-surface comparison can produce a clearer investigation than several unrelated demonstrations. Agree on the changed feature and recording method, using the event as context for careful observation rather than as a substitute for procedure.

To hand: Paper ramp materials.

  1. State the question.
  2. Agree on comparison conditions.
  3. Record trials.

Choose the evidence the activity will collect

Comparing two paper surfaces gives a focused inquiry.

Keep the comparison small enough to record meaningfully. A clear question and repeated observations add more value than several disconnected demonstrations.

What evidence will answer the question? Use prepared trial data.

An event theme does not replace a suitable procedure.
