Less packaging or more protection? Compare both requirements
Evaluate material use alongside protection in an invented design task.
Two paper package prototypes can make a trade-off visible. Measure or describe them against the same criteria, then explain why this small model comparison cannot establish a product's complete environmental impact.
A smaller package may use less card but protect the paper model less well.
One improvement may affect another criterion
Compare both designs using the same criteria. A claim about total environmental benefit would require evidence beyond this small paper-model test.
Agree on criteria. Compare each design. Explain a trade-off.
One criterion does not establish overall environmental impact.
