A familiar game in the Eco Heroes theme

Team Trail adapts Cooperative Relay with this cue: Move one printed habitat helpers mission card along the marked route to the shared theme station. The printable keeps the rules cooperative, removes elimination and gives educators practical ways to adjust movement and participation.

Set up

  • Mark a short route with wide turning points and inspect the floor, run-off space and equipment.
  • Place lightweight objects at one end and a shared collection zone at the other.
  • Demonstrate the chosen travel action and explain that the aim is a shared total, not a winning team.

How to play

  1. One player from each small group carries one object along the route and places it in the shared zone.
  2. They return on the marked path and invite the next willing player.
  3. Pause to count the shared collection, change the travel action or redesign the route together.
  4. Choose the group total before starting. When it is reached, stop the route, count the objects together and return markers and objects to their containers.

Theme variations

  • After every willing player has moved one card, add one cone to create a bend in the route and walk the revised path once before restarting.
  • When the agreed total is reached, arrange the collected cards in a beginning-to-end sequence and return them to an envelope.

Include more ways to join

Shorten the route, remove speed, use rolling or passing, offer an equipment manager role or count every contribution toward one group goal.

Safety check

  • Separate travel lanes and prevent head-on movement.
  • Use only lightweight, easy-grip objects and stable floor markers.
  • Match speed, distance and movement to the space, weather and children present.

Printing notes
