Use this activity
Colour an original scene with generous open spaces and strong outlines. Recommended ages 6–10. Allow about 10 minutes. Read the instructions together and model one example.
Prepare and adapt
Use drawing, pointing, speaking, a scribe or an imaginary example. Personal disclosure and participation are optional. Use paper and pencils. Optional cutting uses adult support. Food activities use paper and pretend shops; animals can be real, dream or fictional examples. Offer quiet roles, a seated alternative and partner recording.
