A shared project benefits from one small decision before making
Agree on a shared goal and first action.
Partners do not need a long meeting to agree on a first step. A quick sketch or choice of where shared parts connect can prevent incompatible plans, while leaving room to adjust the project as it develops.
State the goal. Compare possible approaches. Choose a first step.
Decide something that guides the next action
Keep the first decision small enough for everyone to understand. A shared plan should guide action while leaving room for later adjustment.
Partners can agree where shared borders go before drawing separate sections.
Planning should not require everyone to speak publicly.
What decision is shared? Use sketches to propose ideas.
