A maze branch can point towards the exit and still fail
Look ahead for connected paths and blocked branches.
Trace the actual connections before committing to a route. The most promising-looking direction may lead into a dead end, giving children a reason to plan through the path rather than judge it by appearance.
A branch pointing toward the exit can still end in a dead end.
Follow the line to its destination
Locate start and exit. Trace possible branches. Mark a chosen path.
Follow each line to its actual connection rather than judging its direction. A seemingly promising branch may stop or loop away.
Visual direction alone does not prove connectivity.
Where does the branch actually lead? Trace with a removable token.
