A festival activity should connect accurately to its context
Connect the activity to accurate context and a clear learning purpose.
Read the organiser's explanation before choosing what the group will do. An appropriate inquiry or discussion may provide a stronger learning connection than imitating a ceremony for which no permission or suitable context exists.
Read the event's purpose. Identify an appropriate connection. Check representation.
A source discussion may be more appropriate than imitating a ceremony.
Choose the learning purpose first
Read the organiser's account before selecting an activity. A meaningful inquiry can acknowledge an occasion without reproducing rituals or restricted practices.
Celebration does not authorise sacred practice.
What is the learning purpose? Offer an inquiry alternative.
