A solution explanation should let the reader verify it
Show why the answer satisfies the constraints.
State the arrangement, then connect it to the clues or constraints it satisfies. A final answer alone does not show why it works or whether an alternative was considered, so the explanation needs more than repetition.
Reference constraints rather than merely repeating the answer. The explanation should let a reader verify why the proposed solution is valid.
Check the constraints in the account
State the answer. Reference each constraint. Check alternatives.
An arrangement explanation can cite which clue fixes each pairing.
Have all constraints been checked? Use annotated diagrams.
An answer key alone may not explain reasoning.
