Reuse and recycling change an object in different ways
Distinguish using an object again from processing its material.
A clean carton used as a model wall has been given another use. Compare that action with a description of material processing so the distinction comes from what happens, rather than from an appealing environmental slogan.
Using a carton as a model wall is reuse in this scenario.
Follow the object and its material
Ask what happens to the object and material in each example. Reuse changes its purpose while recycling involves a different process.
Describe each proposed action. Classify the process. Explain the difference.
Reuse still requires suitability checks. What happens to the material?
Act out the two processes.
