Trace a line, then make your own

Each entry has a dashed tracing row and a blank row beneath it. Children follow the dashed paths, then try the same letters or numbers on the blank row. Start with one letter or a short word. Leave extra guides off if they distract; the dark baseline remains. A partner can read the entry aloud before tracing.

These original line-based print letters use simple shapes, including single-storey a and g. They do not prescribe a regional handwriting method, joining style or stroke order. Follow the model used in your setting when it differs. Ask children to draw along a letter with a finger first, or offer larger paper for broad movements. The separate handwriting builder accepts other scripts as model text; this tracing tool supports only the listed characters and does not remove unsupported letters silently.

Print or save a PDF

Select A4 or US Letter and use your printer or Save as PDF at 100% scale, with browser headers and footers off. Three entries fit each page. Use topic words and leave out personal information. Compare the traced result with the dashed form; no separate answer key is needed.
