Suggestion Box Templates
Print an activity suggestion box label and two roomy slips, with your own message about when ideas will be discussed.
Choose the label, slips or both, then create the templates.
Make a place for activity ideas
Allow about 5 minutes to prepare a container, pencils and printed slips. Set a review time you can keep and enter it in the message. Print the label and slips, cut around their dashed borders with adult support, and attach the label to an accessible container. Leave slips and broad drawing tools nearby. Choose Slips only when you need more copies.
Each slip asks for an activity idea and what it would need. Give children around 3–5 minutes if you introduce the box as a group; it can also stay available during ordinary choice time. For younger children, model one drawn idea and offer a scribe. Older children can add materials or a suitable space. Children may speak to an educator, point, draw, observe or pass. No name field or personal explanation is required.
Follow up on suggestions
Read the ideas at the stated time. Explain which can be tried, which need preparation and which are outside the available time, equipment or space. Invite changes rather than promising every idea will happen. Revisit deferred ideas at the next agreed review.
This is an activity-planning box. Explain how children can speak directly with an educator when they need help now. Do not ask for private information, display named responses or promise that paper in a shared box is confidential. Keep and dispose of paper according to your setting’s arrangements; this website does not collect suggestions.
Print and keep the template
Choose A4 or US Letter and print at 100% scale with browser headers and footers off. Check the preview before making copies. The combined option prints one label page and one page with two slips. The large blank spaces work for drawing or writing. Local settings save the title, review message, selected pages and paper size; they do not contain children’s responses.
