Board Game Template Maker

Print a numbered 20 or 30 space board, playable rules and your own prompt cards.

Use up to eight prompts, one per line, with up to 100 characters each. Leave this blank for a simple race board.

Choose a board length and prompts to see the printable.

Make and play a numbered board game

Print the board and rules. If you entered prompts, print and cut out the cards too. Give each player a counter and share one die. Use counters suited to the group, such as large paper markers. Children take turns, follow the numbers and draw a prompt when they land on a CARD space. Another player can read the prompt aloud; the extra notes let you describe other ways to respond.

Choose the shorter board for fewer spaces or remove prompts for a counting game. Invite older children to write a set of topic cards and try the game with a partner. Check that prompts can be answered without private information or special equipment. An adult can prepare the cards where children need help cutting. Counters and a die are not included in the printable.

Print or save a PDF

Select A4 or US Letter and use your printer or Save as PDF at 100% scale, with browser headers and footers off. The board, rules and optional card sheet are separate pages. The game has no fixed answer key; prompts may have several suitable responses.
