A familiar game in the Jungle Expedition theme

Choice Corners adapts Four Corners with this cue: The four destinations are Canopy research camp, River crossing, Wildlife observation, Expedition supplies. The printable keeps the rules cooperative, removes elimination and gives educators practical ways to adjust movement and participation.

Set up

  • Place four large markers where travel paths will not cross furniture or doorways.
  • Write the destination name and one five-count movement on each marker. Use reach high, step side-to-side, hold a wide pose and trace a large circle.
  • Choose a caller who can see the whole area. Nobody is eliminated.

How to play

  1. Players begin in the middle and move to any destination when the caller gives the travel cue.
  2. The caller names or draws one destination card.
  3. Players at that destination complete the movement written on its marker for five counts, then everyone returns to the middle.
  4. Rotate the caller and repeat. Invite players to suggest new destination actions between rounds.

Theme variations

  • Use the same four actions every round: reach high at Canopy research camp, step side-to-side at River crossing, hold a wide pose at Wildlife observation and trace a large circle at Expedition supplies.
  • Let a seated caller reveal picture cards while players point, travel or act from their own space.

Include more ways to join

Bring picture cards to a seated player, allow pointing instead of travelling, or place all destinations along one accessible edge.

Safety check

  • Use walking pace unless the space has been checked for a faster option.
  • Keep destinations away from doors, stairs and hard corners.
  • Avoid sudden direction changes and pause if routes become congested.

Printing notes

The download is a two-page A4 illustrated guide. Page one contains the core game. Page two includes theme variations, participation options, educator checks and a dashed cut-off quick-reference card that can be kept with the game equipment or laminated.
