What is in the pack?
This original Forces and Flight pack contains four separate A4 colouring pages:
- Paper aircraft test: a full-page original line-art scene with open spaces for colouring and additions.
- Parachute experiment: a full-page original line-art scene with open spaces for colouring and additions.
- Ramp and roll: a full-page original line-art scene with open spaces for colouring and additions.
- Wind-powered design: a full-page original line-art scene with open spaces for colouring and additions.
The artwork uses strong black outlines, white backgrounds and generous colouring areas. There are no instructions printed on the pages, so children can interpret each scene in their own way.
OSHC setup
Print one full pack or let children choose a page from the preview. Place it with pencils, crayons or washable markers at an arrival, quiet-choice or wet-weather table. Keep blank paper nearby for children who would rather make their own Forces and Flight scene. A typical invitation takes 15–45 minutes, but completion is optional.
Adapt the invitation
- Simpler: print at A3, offer larger tools, or invite a child to point out and name details with an educator or peer.
- More challenge: connect two pages with a story, add a labelled design feature, or draw a fifth scene.
- Low writing: use colour, symbols, collage pieces or spoken storytelling instead of captions.
- Small group: place different pages around one table and invite conversation without requiring children to share tools or artwork.
Educator prompts
Try open questions such as “What is happening in your scene?”, “What might be just outside the picture?” or “What would you add to make this place work for your idea?” Avoid interpreting colour choices as evidence of emotions or wellbeing.
Printing notes
The ZIP includes four 1600 × 2263 PNG pages and a combined four-page A4 PDF. Print at actual size or fit to the printable area. Use greyscale or black-only mode for the most economical result.
