Emphasis can come from removing competition
Make the main idea stand out through position, scale or contrast.
If every element is large, bright or heavily outlined, the intended focus may become harder to find. Choose one main idea and compare a single change in position, scale or contrast before adding more decoration.
Compare before and after versions using the same main-message question. One focused change can communicate more clearly than adding several competing elements.
What should the viewer notice first?
Identify the main element. Change one emphasis feature. Compare versions.
Enlarging the central symbol can establish a focal point.
What attracts attention first? Use movable layout pieces.
More elements can reduce emphasis.
