A sign stand must work from the intended viewing positions
Test whether the message remains visible from intended places.
A message readable from above may disappear when seen from a seated position. Mark the relevant viewpoints and compare the sign's angle and obstructions, making the audience part of the design test.
A sign visible from above may be hidden from a seated viewpoint.
Read it from where the viewer will be
Check more than one intended viewpoint. A display can work for a standing viewer while remaining unclear from a seated position.
