A spot-the-difference puzzle needs intentional, checkable changes
Make intentional changes and document them before sharing.
Make the answer key while editing the second copy of an original drawing. That record distinguishes designed differences from printing artefacts and gives a new solver a fair basis for checking the result.
Choose clear changes. Mark the key. Test with a partner.
Document each change before testing
Removing a drawn window is a specific change; poor photocopy quality is not.
Keep the answer key tied to intentional changes. A partner should not need to infer whether a printing artefact counts as a difference.
Avoid relying only on subtle colour differences. Can every intended change be verified?
