Paper camouflage: test visibility within the model
Test visibility in a model and discuss its limits.
Place paper shapes against selected backgrounds and compare how readily they can be found. The task concerns this viewing arrangement; it does not reproduce a predator's vision or establish what would happen to a real animal.
To hand: Paper shapes and patterned backgrounds.
Place shapes consistently. Compare ease of spotting. Explain the model.
Keep viewing distance and placement comparable
Keep placement and viewing distance comparable across trials. The activity models visibility under selected conditions rather than proving a survival advantage.
A speckled paper shape may blend with a similar paper background.
This does not test a real predator's vision. Which claim stays within the model?
Allow untimed searching.
